Invited among only eight floral artists worldwide, Tomas De Bruyne represented Belgium at the inaugural edition of FLORA International Flower Festival — an event created to honour the world’s most exceptional floral visionaries.
For the first time, the historic patios of Córdoba became living canvases, transformed by contemporary floral installations that merged heritage, innovation, and emotion.
Tomas’s installation earned the Second Prize, awarded by an international jury for its artistic integrity, conceptual depth, and technical excellence.
More than a competition, FLORA marked the world’s first official recognition of floral design as a form of contemporary art — and Tomas’s achievement stands as a testament to his pioneering influence within this emerging artistic movement.
